Jack's Tyres
01938 553 554
Owner/Operator Jack
I found Jack by a local advert in a local paper.
My first words to him on the phone, was "Hi Jack". I immediately knew what that sounded like and then introduced myself.
I said something to the effect that I don't believe what I just said.
He took no offence, and probably hears it all the time. When I first met
him, he was a "One man Band",
working in a small premises and has since moved on to a very impressive
location, next to the local recycling centre at the Severn Road
Industrial Estate.
They do tyres, batteries and exhausts for cars, 4X4's, and light commercial vehicles.
They also supply and fit motorcycle tyres, brakes and shock absorbers, a 4 wheel laser alignments.
So if you live near the Welshpool area contact Jack.
Welshpool Auto Fit
01938 553 333
Owner/Operator Colin Davies
I have known Colin now for about 8 years. I found his company because my local garage stopped doing business.
I needed a respectable place to have my MOT's carried out, and was referred to him.
I haven't looked back since.
He has all the resources to make an old car, like mine usually are, to
get them "road worthy" without charging higher
than reasonable prices.
If the vehicle is not going to be able to be repaired cost effectively he will let you know!
If you are lucky enough to live near the Welshpool area, and you need
an MOT done, contact Colin or one of his staff on the above
number.
Llanfyllin Home and Garden Centre
London House
01691 648 250
Owner/Operators Jan and Clive Rogers
We met them when they first arrived nine years ago when they purchased
London House which they have turned from an old fashioned hardware
store where only the owner knew where things were to an efficient
hardware, home-ware, pets and garden store. They have a very good
selection of items and if they do not have it in stock they will
get it for you if they can.
The prices are excellent and if you can
visit you will be surprised at the range of stock.
I also have to give my great
respect and admiration to the doctors, nurses, and staff at the NHS for
helping me when I needed it.
I believe these dedicated people are all under-paid and over-worked!
They say that you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone, and that is very true.
When you are healthy and fit, you don't appreciate it until something happens.
I hope I don't need to bother these good people again for a long time, but I know they will be there to help if needed.
Thank goodness we still have a National Health Service!
Please support them in any way you can. You don't need to do it financially, most of us can't afford donations.
Something that would help tremendously would be to ask yourself if you really need a doctor.
Too many people are clogging up the system because they have a cold or
a sniffle, and they want antibiotics prescribed by their doctor.
This not only puts unnecessary pressure on your doctor, and does no
good to you since antibiotics are only effective for bacterial
infections and not viral infections.
It is also true that by taking antibiotics unnecessarily, that you are destroying your own immune processes and defences.
By saying this, I,am probably trying to teach my grandmother how to "suck eggs", but I felt it had to be said.
Please see your doctor if you know that something isn't right, but please don't waste their time. You want them to be there when it really counts.
